Remote jobs open to people in the US: what the adverts say
The short answer
On 2026-10-09, 11,093 open jobs tracked by Nomaders, from 888 employers, named the US as a place you can work from. The largest group is work from home (68%). Separately, 181 roles say you can work from any country, and 152 name a wider region such as North America without naming the US. Those two groups are not in the confirmed count.
Three groups, counted separately
| Group | Jobs |
|---|---|
| Advert names the US Confirmed geography. Includes hybrid and office-linked roles. | 11,093 |
| Advert says any country Geographically compatible; other conditions may still apply. | 181 |
| Advert names a wider region only Provisional. North America-wide wording can mean the US only, Canada only, or both; treat as unconfirmed for the US. | 152 |
A further 6 listed for the US are left out of every count above: the listing names the US, but the advert describes a wider area and never names the US. Those jobs stay on the site with that uncertainty explained.
the US only, or alongside other countries
9,787 of the confirmed roles (88%) name the US as the only allowed country. The rest also name other countries, most often Canada (863), United Kingdom (220), Colombia (185).
A role listing several countries usually means the employer can hire in each of them, not that you may move between them.

Only yearly figures in the advert's own currency, only currencies with 30 or more adverts. Not converted, and not what people actually earn.
We no longer report how many adverts mention working hours or time zones. A check of the matched sentences on 9 October 2026 found most matches were incidental (for example "teams across time zones" or "flexible working hours"), so the figure was not reliable.
What this means if you live in the US
- Start with the roles that name the US; they are the only ones where the employer has said so.
- A matching location is not full eligibility. Right to work, employment set-up, tax and other conditions may still apply.
- A remote job based in the US does not mean you may relocate or work from abroad. Ask before assuming.
- For region-only roles, ask the employer whether they can hire in the US before you apply.
Examples of confirmed roles (most recently checked)
- Marketing Data Scientist, Zicasso
- GEO Strategist - Enterprise AI Search Consultant, Writesonic
- Agency Partnerships Lead, Writesonic
- Senior Product Manager, Growth Experimentation, Zicasso
- Zicasso Talent Pool, Zicasso
Method and limitations
- Sample: open, de-duplicated jobs Nomaders tracks on the snapshot date. Not the whole job market, and a new source can change totals.
- Confirmed means the US is recorded as an allowed country for the role, based on the advert and the listing's location field.
- Region-only roles are never added to the confirmed count. The UK is never assumed to be inside an EU-only role, and neither the US nor Canada is assumed from North America-wide wording.
- Language figures come from simple text matching and may miss or over-count unusual wording.
- Figures are recalculated hourly; earlier days are not stored for this report yet, so no trend is claimed.
