Privacy policy

• Your email address, when you create an account or subscribe to job alerts.
• Your job preferences: categories, minimum pay, remote flexibility, currency and timezone.
• Your activity in the app: saved jobs, saved searches, alerts, and which application links you opened.
• Payment records: your subscription status, renewal date and invoice history. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.
• Technical data needed to serve the site securely, such as your IP address in short-lived security logs.
• Usage statistics from Google Analytics, but only if you accept optional cookies.

• To run your account and show you matching roles. Basis: performance of our contract with you.
• To send job alerts and the weekly roundup you asked for. Basis: your consent, withdrawn at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
• To take payment and handle refunds. Basis: contract, and our legal duty to keep accounting records.
• To keep the site secure and stop abuse. Basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the service.
• To understand how the site is used. Basis: your consent through the cookie banner.

We do not sell your personal data and we never pass your details to employers. We use a small number of processors who handle data on our instructions only:

• Our hosting and database provider, which stores your account data.
• Stripe, for payments and invoices.
• Our email provider, for account emails, job alerts and the weekly roundup.
• Google Analytics, for usage statistics, only where you have accepted optional cookies.

When you open an application link, you leave Nomaders and the employer's own privacy policy applies from that point.

Our providers may process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with the provider's own security measures.

• Account data: while your account is open, and deleted when you close it.
• Job alert subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
• Payment and invoice records: six years, as tax law requires.
• Security logs: up to 90 days.

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the data we hold, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to you in a portable form. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time.

• Delete everything yourself: open your account and choose to delete your account. This removes your profile, saved jobs, saved searches and alerts.
• Or email jobs@nomaders.app. We answer within 30 days and never charge for a request.
• If you are in the UK or the EU and you are unhappy with our answer, you may complain to your data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
• If you are in California, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Nomaders is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us their data, email jobs@nomaders.app and we will delete it.

If we change this policy we update the date at the top, and we tell account holders by email where the change affects how we use your data.
