About the role
7shifts is a scheduling and payroll platform designed to help restaurant teams thrive. With an easy-to-use app and industry-specific solutions, 7shifts saves time, reduces errors, and helps keep costs in check for over 55,000 restaurants. Our mission is to simplify team management and improve performance for restaurants, with a long-term vision of creating a thriving restaurant industry through the power of connected & engaged teams.
As a Founding Business Development Representative, Mid-Market at 7shifts, you'll drive new business for our largest and highest-value customers: restaurant groups with 10+ locations. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Sales Development SMB & Mid-Market, you'll generate and qualify pipeline for the Mid-Market Account Executive team by reaching the operators and executives who run multi-unit and enterprise brands. You won't inherit a finished script here. You'll figure out what works, build a repeatable process as you go, and help scale the motion across the mid-market and enterprise segment.
What you’ll do:
Generate the pipeline that fuels mid-market growth, targeting restaurant groups with 10+ locations and booking qualified meetings for the Mid-Market Account Executive team
Get in the door however it takes, prospecting across calls, email, social, networking, and events, and working your network to stand out in a crowded inbox
Build and own your book of accounts, researching them in Salesforce, and multi-threading to the operators and decision-makers who actually sign
Work smarter with AI, leaning on prospecting tools and internal data to surface high-potential accounts, personalize outreach at scale, and spend your day where it counts
Hit and exceed your targets, owning pipeline quality as much as volume and consistently booking meetings that convert into real opportunities
Shape the motion and the playbook, spotting what's working, flagging what isn't, and building the repeatable process as the segment scales
What you bring:
Quota-carrying outbound sales experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, with a track record of generating net-new pipeline
Restaurant industry background: you understand how operators and multi-unit leaders think, and you can speak their language
Scrappiness and hustle: you work your network to get meetings and get creative to stand out in a crowded inbox
Exceptional verbal and written communication, with empathic listening
Strong self-organization: you prioritize a portfolio and build your own structure when there isn't a playbook yet
A track record of achievement or competitive success, and a team-first attitude
It’d be even cooler if you had:
Experience in restaurant tech (POS, payroll, online ordering, reservations, or tip management) or a working knowledge of restaurant operations, tip pooling, and labor compliance
Experience with a sales-engagement or sequencing tool (Outreach, Salesloft, or similar)
