About the role

Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a Technical Engineer to provide guidance and advanced technical engineering expertise supporting the ICE Health Service Corps (IHSC) Health Information Technology Unit (HITU) in the management and monitoring of modernized Health IT programs. This role provides technical oversight, analysis, and advisory support to ensure IT systems are designed, implemented, and maintained in alignment with operational needs, security requirements, and enterprise architecture standards.

The Technical Engineer evaluates system architectures, technical designs, and solution proposals; identifies and assesses technical risks such as scalability, interoperability, and performance; and advises leadership on technical tradeoffs and mitigation strategies. This is a designated Key Personnel position under the contract.

Requirements

·Advanced technical knowledge of enterprise IT systems, infrastructure, and architecture.
·Experience evaluating technical designs, system architectures, and engineering solutions for alignment with operational and security requirements.
·Ability to provide technical oversight and advisory support to leadership and technical teams.
·Strong understanding of system modernization, integration, and lifecycle management.
·Experience identifying and mitigating technical risks, including scalability, performance, and interoperability concerns.
