About the role
Who are we?
At UpGuard, we are replacing manual security bottlenecks with AI-driven precision. Fresh off a US$75M Series C, we are scaling our infrastructure to process 100 billion risk signals daily. This isn’t just growth; it’s a total reimagining of how the world manages cyber risk.
We build the Cyber Risk Posture Management (CRPM) platform that security teams actually love. By integrating security ratings, threat intel, and agentic AI, we empower organisations to stay ahead of an ever evolving attack surface.
We aren’t just building another tool; we’re defining a category. We provide the autonomy to ship world-class technology and the resources to do it at a global scale.
Where does this role fit in?
You’ll be a key member of UpGuard’s Growth Squad, focused on driving organic growth. Based in South Africa and reporting to the Content Writer Manager, you’ll write high-quality content that answers the real questions our prospects and customers are asking, from in-depth articles to comparison and competitor pages on our website.
How people find answers has changed dramatically with the rise of LLMs and AI search engines, and this role is central to making sure UpGuard shows up with content that’s genuinely helpful and conveys authority and trust. Working closely with the Growth Marketing team, you’ll turn research and briefs into accurate, authoritative content, and keep our existing content fresh and competitive.
What will you do?
Answer the questions that matter: Write high-quality, genuinely useful content that answers the real questions our prospects and customers are asking, whether they find it through a search engine or an AI assistant.
Make complex topics clear: Turn cybersecurity and risk concepts into content that’s accurate, insightful, and a pleasure to read.
Keep our content at its best: Refresh and improve existing articles and pages so they stay accurate, current, and genuinely helpful.
Help buyers make informed decisions: Write and maintain comparison and competitor pages that are accurate, fair, and persuasive.
Own your work from draft to live: Publish and format your content in our CMS, including headings, metadata, internal links, and image alt text.
See the impact of your work: Work with the Growth Marketing team to review how your content performs and use those insights to make the next piece even better.
Maintain Voice and Tone: Ensure every piece of content adheres strictly to the UpGuard brand Voice and Tone.
What will you bring?
