Call Center Representative, Healthcare (Patient Services)

A specialty neurology practice looking for a dedicated call center representative to support patient-facing phone operations. This teammate will handle inbound and outbound calls related to scheduling, authorization and eligibility, and billing inquiries, working closely with the practice's administrative team. Core Responsibilities

Answer and place patient calls covering scheduling, authorization/eligibility checks, and billing questions

Verify insurance coverage and process pre-authorization requests

Update patient records accurately in AdvancedMD

Escalate complex or sensitive cases to clinical or billing staff as needed

Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of all patient information

Document call outcomes and follow-up actions consistently

Requirements

2+ years in a healthcare call center, medical billing, or patient services role (preferred)

Working knowledge of AdvancedMD (preferred)

Experience with insurance verification, eligibility checks, or revenue cycle processes (preferred)

Clear, professional phone communication skills

For the bilingual profile: fluent Spanish and English, spoken and written

Comfortable working US business hours (EST)
