Job Role: Web Developer / Growth Engineer
Compensation range: $3,500 - $4,500 AUD/month
Engagement type: Independent Contractor
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9.00 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

They combine design, engineering, and digital innovation to deliver high-quality products and seamless customer experiences. The business is heavily focused on e-commerce growth, system integrations, and optimizing the end-to-end customer journey across digital platforms.
About the Role
We are looking for a Web Developer / Growth Engineer who can own the end-to-end website experience and system integrations across Shopify, HubSpot, and third-party platforms.
This is not a pure frontend role. You’ll sit at the intersection of conversion-focused user experience, system architecture, and growth—building robust integrations and ensuring clean, reliable data flow across systems.
You will be responsible for connecting our eCommerce platform, CRM, and external partners (including leasing/finance providers) into a seamless, trackable customer journey with reliable data flow and clear funnel visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Rebuild and own key conversion flows (e.g., test ride bookings currently managed via third-party tools)
Develop and maintain the Shopify storefront, including:
Theme customization
Custom page development
Performance optimisation
Design and implement API integrations, including:
HubSpot (forms, events, data sync)
Leasing / financing platforms (e.g., Lease a Bike) — including handling API integration, data exchange, and user flow across checkout
Other third-party systems
Build custom lead capture, routing, and tracking systems
Requirements
- ·Required Skills and Qualifications:
- ·Strong Shopify development experience (Liquid, themes, custom builds)
- ·Strong JavaScript skills (frontend logic, API interaction, and debugging)
- ·Proven experience building real API integrations, including REST APIs, authentication (API keys, OAuth), and webhooks
- ·Must be able to clearly explain at least one production API integration you have built (systems involved, data flow, and challenges solved)
