About the role

This is a pioneer role. You will be GoGlobal’s first dedicated French accounting hire — the person who both delivers French accounting for our clients and decides how we do it.

You will own full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of French entities, and build the operating model behind it: choosing the local tools, writing the processes, documenting the controls, and aligning all of it to our global standards. As our local expert, you are the bridge between French statutory requirements and a global delivery business.

France is growing for us, and this role shapes how we scale it. If you would rather build something properly than inherit it, this is that job.

Roles & Responsibilities

Delivery & Client Ownership

• Own full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of French entities — bookkeeping, month-end close, reconciliations, management reporting, and supporting schedules.

• Deliver to each client’s reporting calendar and template, including tight statutory and client close deadlines.

• Run the payment cycle for your entities, with sound controls around it.

• Prepare VAT (CA3) returns and the schedules supporting CVAE, DAS2, CFE, the liasse fiscale, and the annual accounts.

• Own e-invoicing set-up and compliance under the French mandate.

• Act as the day-to-day contact for the clients in your portfolio, and represent GoGlobal with clients, auditors, and the French authorities, in French.

• Explain French requirements in terms a non-French finance team can act on.

Client Onboarding & Transitions

• Lead the onboarding of new French clients — data migration, opening balances, chart of accounts, and system set-up, through to their first close with us.

• Agree scope, timelines, and deliverables with the account team, and own the plan.

• Design each engagement so it can scale as our French portfolio grows.

Technical Authority for France

• Act as GoGlobal’s authority on French accounting — the plan comptable général, FEC, and statutory reporting.

• Advise our global and regional product teams on French accounting, compliance, and operational requirements.

• Track regulatory change, work out what it means for our clients and our processes, and tell the business what needs to change.

• Evaluate, recommend, and implement the local accounting, compliance, and reporting tools French delivery needs.

Building the France Model

• Document and standardise French processes, controls, and working papers in line with our global standards.

• Build and maintain our France knowledgebase, and share what you know with colleagues across the business.
