System Administrator

Are you a highly motivated System Administrator fluent in German? EUROPEAN DYNAMICS is seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our dynamic team driving complex enterprise projects.

Installation, configuration and maintenance of servers, operating systems and network components;

Ensuring the availability, performance and security of the IT infrastructure;

Administration of user accounts and authorisations;

Monitoring and maintenance of the systems as well as performance of regular backups;

Error analysis and troubleshooting in the IT infrastructure;

Documentation of the system configurations and processes;

Support in the implementation of new hardware and software;

Analysis and assessment of security risks and threats;

Anticipation and early identification of problems;

Derivation, formulation and implementation of problem-solving strategies;

Target-group-appropriate communication and explanation of problems and their effects to the Client;

Implementation of suitable measures taking into account functional and non-functional requirements (e.g. high availability of the system) as well as extensive quality assurance;

Requirements

In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies;

In-depth knowledge of the administration of servers and operating systems (Linux);

In-depth knowledge of network protocols and services (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP);

In-depth knowledge of cryptographic procedures and the use of digital signatures and certificates;

In-depth knowledge of network security, encryption and access controls;

In-depth knowledge of virtualised environments and cloud services;

In-depth knowledge of IT security and data protection;

In-depth knowledge of monitoring and backup tools;

In-depth knowledge of the set-up and handling of distributed systems (incl. geo-redundancy);

In-depth knowledge of configuring and monitoring distributed systems both on application servers and in cloud-based environments;
