About the role
Yassir is the leading super App in the Maghreb region set to changing the way daily services are provided. It currently operates in 26 cities across Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia with recent expansions into France, Canada and Sub-Saharan Africa. It is backed (+$43M in funding) by VCs from Silicon Valley, Europe and other parts of the world including Y Combinator. We offer on-demand services such as ride-hailing and last-mile delivery. Building on this infrastructure, we are now introducing financial services to help our users pay, save and borrow digitally. Helping usher the continent into a digital economy era. Build and maintain scalable, cost-effective, and reliable systems with technologies such as Kubernetes in GCP cloud environment
Improve our CI/CD process and increase the level of automation at Yassir in order to increase our efficiency
Play a key role in handling incidents, and support engineering teams with their infrastructure needs
Develop infrastructure as code as required
Introduce processes, documentation, best practices, and tools that would help our engineering teams be more productive
Technical Skills
2-3 years of experience in a similar role building and maintaining large scale, distributed infrastructure in the cloud environments, ideally in a high-growth startup
At least one year of experience building and maintaining systems in GCP
Previous experience with CI/CD processes
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
Previous experience with Node.JS or Python
Strong knowledge of Linux environments in relation to security and networking
Familiar with relational and non-relational database models (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis)
Experience with ElasticSearch, LogStash, and Kibana is a plus
Experience with Prometheus and Grafana is a plus
