As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will join our Loughborough team to support our activities within the clean energy and advanced technology sector. 
You will play a key role in the development of electrical distribution and wiring solutions for innovative products. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, integration, and documentation of wiring harnesses and electrical distribution systems, ensuring reliable and efficient electrical architecture throughout the product lifecycle.

Experience Level: Mid-Junior (2-4 years of experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop electrical wiring harnesses and Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS)
Create and maintain electrical schematics using SolidWorks Electrical
Produce and manage 3D electrical routing and harness models
Support the integration of electrical systems into product assemblies
Generate and maintain electrical design documentation, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BoMs)
Collaborate with mechanical, electronics, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful product integration
Support prototype build, testing, and validation activities
Implement design changes and maintain accurate configuration control throughout the product lifecycle
Required Skills:
Experience designing wiring harnesses and electrical distribution systems
Proficiency with SolidWorks Electrical
Experience creating electrical schematics and wiring documentation
Understanding of 3D routing and harness modelling principles
Knowledge of electrical integration and system packaging considerations
