Location Requirement

Candidates must reside in an eligible U.S. state throughout employment. We are unable to hire candidates residing in California, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or outside the United States.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying production-ready software using Ruby (and frameworks such as Ruby on Rails) and some familiarity or willingness to work with modern front-end technologies (React, Typescript) when needed.

Proven track record of delivering high-quality, reliable software. We appreciate engineers who explore side projects, contribute to open-source, or publish technical content, demonstrating a passion for continuous learning.

Deep expertise in backend development. You understand API design, data modeling, performance optimization, and security best practices - while still keeping the user experience in mind.

Versatility and willingness to learn. You’re primarily focused on the backend, but you’re comfortable stepping into front-end or infrastructure tasks when needed - whether its debugging a React component, fixing a security vulnerability, or helping optimize CI/CD pipelines.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills, comfortable partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless product experiences.
