About the role
Simera is looking for an exceptional communicator to manage follow-up with companies and referral partners who have expressed interest in our global hiring services. This is not primarily a cold-calling role. The focus is on responding quickly, writing thoughtful and personalized follow-ups, nurturing longer-term opportunities, and helping move interested prospects toward meetings and active hiring needs. The ideal candidate combines the discipline of a strong SDR with the communication and relationship-building skills of an account manager.
Responsibilities
Respond to positive replies from email, LinkedIn, and referral partners
Write personalized and creative follow-up messages
Re-engage prospects who have stopped responding
Nurture companies that are interested but not ready to hire
Book qualified meetings for senior sales leaders
Follow up after meetings, proposals, candidate submissions, and interviews
Maintain accurate CRM records, next steps, and follow-up dates
Use phone calls when a live conversation can help move an opportunity forward
Identify urgent or high-value opportunities and escalate them appropriately
Requirements
2–5 years of experience in SDR, business development, account management, customer success, recruitment, staffing, or another client-facing commercial role
Exceptional written and spoken English
Strong experience managing warm or partially qualified leads
Ability to write naturally without relying on generic templates
Excellent organization, persistence, and commercial judgment
Experience using email, LinkedIn, CRM, and sales-engagement tools
Comfortable communicating with founders, executives, HR leaders, and hiring managers
Willing to work afternoon and evening hours in South Africa to support US prospects
Preferred Experience
B2B SaaS, recruitment, staffing, HR technology, outsourcing, or global hiring Inbound or senior SDR experience Experience nurturing longer sales cycles and reactivating dormant leads Experience communicating on behalf of senior executives
