Develops, writes and edits medical and scientific news and information to create clear, relevant, and engaging content that educates the public, empowers patients and caregivers, and supports healthcare professionals. This advanced-level role leads the development of complex and high-priority content initiatives, identifies emerging trends and news opportunities, and translates complex medical information into clear, actionable content. The position exercises a high degree of independent judgment, advises leadership on content opportunities and priorities, and serves as a trusted resource on medical journalism and health content creation. Working closely with other writers, editors and subject matter experts, this role helps ensure ACS’s cancer information is accessible and optimized for how users search, navigate, and consume content. This position plays a key role in the creation of accurate, relevant, and timely medical content, which is critical to protecting organizational reputation, ensuring compliance, and reducing risk. This is a fully remote position and is open to candidates located anywhere within the United States.
