About the role

TRAINING SPECIALIST - DISASTER RECOVERY, HOUSING & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

ICF ’s Justice, Workforce, Preparedness & Community Development group works to improve Americans’ lives through strategic consulting support, technical assistance, product development, and program implementation. We are seeking a TRAINING SPECIALIST candidate to join the Housing and Community Development team at ICF who is enthusiastic about solving social issues related to disaster recovery, community development, and building the capacity of state, territorial, and local governments to administer disaster recovery programs.

Requirements

·Bachelor’s degree in Learning and Development, Organizational Management, Education, Public Policy, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or other relevant field.
·Minimum 8 years of experience working directly with CDBG-DR programs, HUD program and or other relevant affordable housing programs.
·Minimum 2 years of experience utilizing various training platforms to conduct trainings in-person and virtually, designing and delivering training and technical assistance (TTA) services.
·Excellent facilitation and presentation skills in virtual and face to face classroom delivery
·Demonstrated knowledge of how housing, community and economic development, and disaster recovery programs are implemented at the state and/or local levels
