About the role
Position overview Remote | Part-Time (Approx. 20 hours/week) This is an exciting consultant position that offers a unique opportunity to support large-scale social change efforts. Language Associates bring Avaaz to millions of people each week by translating Avaaz campaigns from English into key languages and rewriting them to be fitting to local contexts. This role requires strong written communication skills and cultural awareness that allow you to capture the heart of Avaaz ’ campaigns and powerfully translate them into French language.
The successful candidate for this part-time position (20 hours/week) will work closely with the French language lead and with the Member Support and Community Petitions teams, and they will report to an Avaaz staffer. Please note that this position is on a freelance/independent contractor basis.

Requirements
- ·Excellent written and oral communication, and translation skills in French, combined with creative thinking to craft engaging texts.
