Job Description:

Blue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced and dedicated Data Management Specialist to join our team, supporting the [Integrated Healthcare Transformation (IHT) initiative]. The Data Management Specialist will be responsible for performing tasks that ensure strategic and coordinated data systems management, accuracy and integrity of data, and effective reporting of data to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Ensure the timely, accurate, and consistent preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.

Establish, maintain, and update databases and records supporting recurring internal reports and program requirements.

Monitor data quality, completeness, consistency, and integrity across applicable data systems and reporting processes.

Recommend and implement new operating methods to improve data flow, collection, editing, processing, validation, and distribution.

Perform data management activities that support accurate and reliable reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

Conduct high-level data analysis and validation to identify discrepancies, trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improved data quality.

Develop and maintain data documentation, data dictionaries, reporting procedures, and other relevant data management materials.

Coordinate with business, technical, and program stakeholders to clarify data requirements and resolve data quality or reporting issues.

Support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of databases, data sets, dashboards, and recurring reporting products.

Ensure data management practices align with applicable federal requirements, organizational policies, and established data governance standards.

Document data processes, identify opportunities for process improvement, and support implementation of standardized data management practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, or a related field.

Four (4) years of relevant professional experience in data management, data analysis, reporting, database administration, or a related discipline.

Demonstrated experience managing and validating data to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity.
