Your day-to-day responsibilities
Dig into system behaviour, risks, and release goals to work out what genuinely needs testing - and what doesn't
Define test goals, scope, and strategies across component, integration, and system levels
Own the reliability of release-critical environments and satellite test assets, keeping them stable through automation
Design, write, and maintain automated and manual tests, building test frameworks to production-code standards
Get hands-on with the system - exploring, validating, and challenging behaviour in areas that matter most to releases
Guide and enable engineering teams on what to test, why it matters, and how to do it well
Continuously sharpen test strategies and automation based on real outcomes, defects, and release feedback
