About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager to own Scaled Spend Controls — one of three squads inside Float’s Spend Management pillar, reporting to the Head of Spend Management.

Your squad’s mission is to give finance leaders enough control and visibility that they are willing to put more of their company’s spend on Float. Budgets and reporting are not adoption goals in themselves. They exist to make a controller confident enough to raise a limit, open a new spend category, or migrate a spend type onto card — and that confidence is what shows up as revenue. Using AI first approach to bring in budget visibility into the product and meeting users where they're at; you're objective will be to automate away the friction of finance reconciliation through automations, integrations and building out a delightful scaled spend experience.

You’ll work with a designer and four engineers, alongside Product Ops/Analytics, and partner closely with Accounting, CX, and Sales.

What You’ll Own

Surface area

Budgets — funding pools, categorization, recurring structures, enforcement

Spend programs and controls — policy definition and enforcement, the container binding policy, budget, and card

Reporting — the reporting platform, period comparison, out-of-policy spend visibility, and the reporting views that surface on users command center

AI enabled reporting - Incorporating AI to help answer finance questions based on users spend data

Month end reconciliation automation - AI first month end workflows to automate transaction coding
