How you'll make impact

As a Staff AI Engineer, you’ll define the technical direction for next-generation AI solutions that improve internal efficiency and transform how customers interact with Airwallex. You’ll design and implement robust APIs and system architectures for AI applications, including agentic experiences, language-model-powered workflows, search and data analysis systems. You’ll shape AI application roadmaps, research and apply emerging technologies, and partner with diverse cross-functional teams to turn product goals into reliable systems. You’ll also help resolve application issues and software bugs with prompt, effective solutions while maintaining a high bar for customer experience.

You’ll work from our Singapore office five days a week.

What we're looking for

Essentials

10+ years of experience in backend software development, with a passion for AI and language technologies.

A proven track record of delivering major impact.

Proficiency in Python, TypeScript or JavaScript.

Experience designing and developing large-scale distributed systems with high concurrency, high load and high availability.

Experience working with vector databases.

A relevant degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field.

Preferred

Familiarity with MLOps practices and deployment pipelines for AI-driven products.
